A walkway in scaffolding is a horizontal platform or passage provided for workers to walk, access, and move safely along the scaffold structure. Steel walkway is commonly used in civil construction along with uses as industrial walkways and access platforms in oil refineries, cement plants, chemical plants, paper milsl, power plants.

They are used on scaffolds as walkways providing very strong support during usage. They are easily shifted from one level to another during construction.
