C Channel ISMC

A C-channel in scaffolding is a steel member with a C-shaped cross-section used primarily as a horizontal support beam to carry the load of shuttering and fresh concrete. It is placed on top of scaffold standards or props, and shuttering panels or formwork rest directly on it. The open-sided “C” profile provides high strength and rigidity, allowing it to span between standards without bending under heavy loads.
